The Vision

The Vision:  What will be going on at the  Como Community Center?  

• community multi-use events, at a new and vital Como locale, in harmony with its residential location and past usage

• Como neighborhood public meetings

• spoken & literary arts: author presentations, poetry readings, children’s storytelling

• educational presentations:  community classes, area history walking tours, building history displays

• music:  seasonal music celebrations, choirs, local musician acoustic recitals, music history

• theater: small local amateur plays, children’s puppet shows

• visual arts:  local artisan presentations and displays, art fair events on grounds and in auditorium

• worship services (weekend space rental)

• "Como Showcase" series celebrating the art, talents, and public service of Como neighbors

We look to the center to be a venue offering a diverse calendar of events that inform, entertain, enrich and connect Como neighbors -- expressing the vitality and diversity of Como and its people.
