Como Neighborhood

The Como neighborhood is a historic area in the Southeast quadrant of Minneapolis, MN. Founded in the 1880s by James Elwell, the neighborhood is notable for a rich heritage and its association with many significant Minnesota figures and events in public life, the arts, industry and science, and sports. The neighborhood displays a notable variety of historic architectural styles in its residences and commercial buildings. Part of the University District, Como is home to many U MN faculty, staff, students, and alumni, amid a diversity of residents old and new.
