Como Community Center

The Como Community Center project is a group of neighbors working together to rehabilitate and operate the main  front auditorium portion of this historic and impressive 1886 building -- for the benefit of the entire Como community in Minneapolis.   Our vision is to bring this wonderful building into a new life for the 21st century!   

We invite you to learn more about this building, and  its future as a vibrant  community hub in Como.

Recognition:  The Como Community Center and team are the proud recipients of a 2026 Minneapolis Preservation Award (AIA Mpls Chapter / Preserve Minneapolis / City of Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission) and a 2025 Rethos  Preservation Award (Rethos MN)!  We're grateful for these city and state honors, and with them we now look ahead to further accomplishment as Como's historic building fulfills its mission of community service.
